Original cloth with gilt stamping and original color illustrated dust jacket. Text in English. Book in very good condition; paper somewhat browned; dust jacket with signs of wear.
First edition. Fine cloth-bound hardcover, almost as new, in a Fine dust jacket with crimping and a touch of wear at one tip. A very nice copy. All dust jackets are protected by a clear mylar cover. Images of India, from the people, street scenes, and festivals, to the landscape, to architectural studies, famous landmarks, and cityscapes. A gorgeous volume.
Roloff Beny (1924 - 1984) was a Canadian photographer who spent the better part of his life in Rome and on his photographic travels throughout the world.
Photographs and preface by Beny; essay by Aubrey Menen. With 136 mounted color plates and 17 color illustrations. 236 pages; 136 tipped-in color plates + 16 decorative motifs;
