To commemorate the 5th centenary of the birth of the important Italian Mannerist painter, Parmigianino, the Parma Galleria Nazionale Museum presented a large monographic show of his work. As Parmigianino executed the bulk of his work on panel or paper, and thus on particularly fragile supports, this will be the first and perhaps the only time that a comprehensive survey of the painter's oeuvre is shown.
