DESCRIPTION: NEW EDITION. 7 vols., 6-7/8" x 4-1/2", frontis portrait plate in volume 1, bound in full straight grained green calf, ribbed gilt decorated spines, three gilt lettered spine labels, covers ruled and paneled in gilt and blind, gilt dentelles, top edges gilt, others uncut as issued, by Zaehnsdorf. CONDITION: Internally clean and bright, inner and outer hinges fine, small chip to the head cap of volume one, no sunning or fading, A VERY GOOD SET. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This 1843 reprint of the 1836-7 six-volume collected edition is supplemented with a seventh volume consisting of 'Poems, Chiefly of Early and Late Years' (1842), Wordsworth's final discretely published volume. This version, correctly dated 1842, is published as Vol VII of 'The Poetical Works'. (Stephen Gill, 'Wordsworth: A Life' [1989]).
