Charles Schneider, 1881-1953, is a French master glassmaker of Art Deco, the pupil of Daum in Nancy, and creator of the glassware label Le Verre français with his brother Ernest Schneider, 1877-1937. Le Verre Français was, in the years 1920-1903, the primary art glassworks in Europe. A large majority of the creations of this period, very marked by the school of Nancy, are due to Charles Schneider.
