Signe Sornay by Alain Marcelpoil, Annik Beras Sornay & Olivier Lassalle (Book)

About the Item

Published in 2010, this is the much anticipated book on the life and career of Signe Sornay, with text in English and French. The book was published by Galerie Alain Marcelpoil who are renowned experts in Art Deco furniture and 20th century decorative arts, after much research and collaboration with the Sornay family. The name Sornay and his furniture is not as well known as it could have been had he worked in Paris, but he is getting the recognition deserved - known for using exotic woods such as rosewood and mahogany he also made use of much more basic materials such as plywood. As well as being a furniture designer he also did much interior design work as well. 382 pages - lavishly illustrated throughout.
