Index of sitters; portraits of the actors, writers, musicians, politicians, royally, celebrities, etc. of the UK including Alec Guinness, Ingrid Bergman, Laurence Olivier, Yehudi Menuhin, Rudolf Nureyev, Meryl Streep, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Margaret Thatcher, Somerset Maugham, Paul Scofield, Horowitz, Lady Mosley, Anthony Burgess, Antonia Fraser, John Gielgud, Rupert Murdoch, Andres Segovia, Bruce Chatwin, John Hurt, Jeremy Irons, Andie McDowell, and others. Lord Snowdon was the outstanding portrait photographer of his generation. From his innovative theatrical photography of the 1950s, through the important reportage photography of the 1960s and 1970s, to the portraits, his versatility and sensitivity was unmatched.
