Sotheby's: The Collection of John T. Dorrance, Jr. Important Impressionist, Modern, American and European Paintings. 1st Ed hardcover with dust jacket auction catalog.
The art collection of John T. Dorrance Jr., an heir to the Campbell Soup Company fortune, was auctioned with holdings of more than 900 items, including Impressionist and modern paintings, French 18th-century furniture and Chinese, English and German porcelains. Mr. Dorrance, the son of the founder of Campbell Soup and its chairman from 1962 to 1984, was 70 years old when he died. The art he collected over 35 years included about 250 pictures and sculptures.
