18-Karat Gold Victorian Bracelet with Amethyst, 19th Century

About the Item

Gold bracelet of 18 carats Victorian composed by a body of calabrotes with pearls in the center, located paired and alternated with small pieces highlighted with a vegetal element in light relief of classicist influence. The clasp of the jewel is hidden in the front, covered by the centerpiece of the bracelet. It consists of a piece of gold with vegetal forms, scrolls and flowers in relief, topped by a trilobed shape that responds to a Neo-Gothic influence of the 19th century. In the center of this part is a slightly oval shaped oval-shaped amethyst, finely crimped so as not to detract from the closure composition. Of this central element hang two chains, adding the usual movement that used to occur in 19th century jewelry in numerous pieces. The so-called Victorian Era officially began in 1837 with the coronation of a young Queen Victoria in England, and would end in 1901 with the death of the same with 82 years.
