Ben-Amun Free Form Modernist AB Orange/Pink Glass Clip Earrings

This is a fantastic pair of Ben-Amun clip on earrings with a large (about 7/8 inch diameter) vibrant faux mabe pearl surrounded by a rich, bright gold patterned frame with five lustrous bulbous pearl drops which graduate in size from each side to the center bottom. The earrings have incredible life from the bright gold and the shimmering pearls and large size measuring about 2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. They are clearly marked on the back and come on their original Saks Fifth Avenue card. What a wonderful modernist, geometric bangle bracelet this is, because it has a dull gray finish on the outside and a shinier finish on the low spots of the inside, I think it's possible that the original finish has almost completely worn off, but I love the industrial gray with the midcentury look of this piece and the 3/4 inch diameter red, blue and black glass cabochons are all vibrant in color and contrast nicely with the dull finish. It is a large piece of jewelry having a 2.5 inch inside diameter, 3.25 inch outside diameter and the geometric shapes project about one inch above and below the center band making the bracelet have a two inch total width. What an exotic bright gold pendant of a fancy butterfly with exaggerated antenna 0n the top and legs on the bottom. There are raised flowers on the wings, a beetle head and eyes and a double strand rolo chain dangling below, giving it a mythical effect. The pendant is knotted onto a long (32 inch) black leather cord which can be shortened easily by retying the knot on the top, the cord contrasts wonderfully with the high carat look of the gold finish on the butterfly. What makes this piece unique is well.... everything! First, this piece is up-cycled, which means I liked the shape but it needed to be rescued. The rescue plan included 22K leaf which is from Manetti of Florence. This color is Rosenoble. It is made of 92%Gold8%Copper all noble metals. Next I used Artist's canvas fabric and made the Cally-Lily petals which were embossed by my flower Artisan. Both the bowl and the petals were given to the next Artisan. This is a French gilder with 25 years of experience of working on outdoor sculptures to interior restorations of the most important buildings in NYC as well as along the East Coast. After the bowl and petals were leafed, it was then transported covered in a wool/cotton batting for protection. At this stage a top coat is applied 2-3 times as needed for surface protection. Once this had dried it was ready to commence with the crystal application called pave. This is setting the crystals as close together as possible. My next Artisan has 28 years experience working in the technique of Pave. This was done with 3 colors, of the best crystals made in the world. These are Light Rose, Light Siam and Hyacinth all with the Aurora Borealis treatment. These 3 colors blended together have a magical quality sparkling in a majestic and mystical way. After the pave work was finished Ostrich feathers were sporadically placed inside.The flutter of the feathers by the slightest movement causes them to dance. This is easily transported in your home for your own rotating Art show. The main photo the bowl was shot on it's side which is the position I like best. All positions work as well.
