Rare vintage pair of sterling silver cufflinks designed by Margaret De Patta
About the Item
Rare pair of sterling silver cufflinks designed by Margaret DePatta (1903-1964), one of the most influential and most collected of the 20th mid-century Modernist jewelers. Her adherence to Bauhaus design and risk-taking experiments in art and materials set her apart from her colleagues. Here, a 5/8" square sterling form combines polished, textured and oxidized light-and-dark elements. The cufflinks are hallmarked and signed, swivel sterling backs.
