Antique Asian Brass and Horn Gong

About
A fine older Asian gong with good traditional form. Double cow horns form the support for the hollow hammered brass gong. The horns are mounted with brass beaded scrolls on the tips for the chains supporting the gong. The horn bases with hoof- like punctated segmented mounts with repousse brass collars with palmette motifs. The whole mounted on a footed rosewood base. A wood mallet with leather ball shaped end has its own brass supports.
Measures: H. 20.5”, W. 17”, base 10 x 17"
Condition: worn base surfaces, all brass tarnished but in an even patina, the gong back in verdigris tarnish, expected worn mallet leather with the ensemble presenting very well.
