American brass nautical ship wheel with a central circular brass hub, eight brass spindles with bulbous handles, solid brass geared pedestal, rudder indicator arrow, and mounted on a circular carved rope base. Late 19th century. Stamped Dake Engine Company Grand Haven, Michigan.
