Brass Binnacle "NEGUS N.Y."

About the Item

Rare yacht binnacle from Negus of New York. The mushroom top is fitted with two removable oil burners and has an oval glass viewing port. The binnacle pedestal holds a gimballed brass compass with engraved bezel from E.S Ritchie Boston and 1886, 1888, and 1890. Patent marks and serial number 13616. Very high quality nautical antique.
