Rare Antique 1800s Sagittal Sectioned Skull


To Stagittal section is to cut vertically. That's what makes this teaching display so unique. If you collect this type of object than you already know difficult they are to come by. Its painstaking and meticulous work to successfully section bone this way. It is mounted in a beautiful and original Victorian shadow box. The wood frame and parts have a nice aged patina with hints of gold. This item is an anatomical display and medical teaching aid for educational purposes only. We have been lucky enough to purchase an interesting collection of museum quality displays. Early examples do not come along often.
