Pair of Early 1900s Brass & Wood Christ & Maria Circular Wall Plaque Sculptures
About the Item
Marked pair of Christ and Maria sculptures with golden halo.
This completely original pair of religious wall plaques in relief has the most beautiful patina. The golden colored wooden halo around both brass sculptures gives these plaques their extra holy dimension. They are exactly the same, circular shape and size and they both come with the maker's monogram (see image 7 and 8). Unfortunately we don't know the artist, but the shape and quality reveal that this is not the work of a 'one day fly'. This practical size pair of religious artworks is in very good condition and thanks to the original, metal hooks on the back they are very easy and safe to mount on your wall. These Christ and Maria sculptures could perfectly grace your home shrine and with perfect packing and worldwide delivery included, they too are worth every penny.
