Rare & Great Condition, Handcrafted with Silk Mid-20th Century Child's Chasuble
About the Item
Five piece chasuble set for children of circa 8 to 10 years of age.
Because we had never seen a vintage chasuble specifically made for a child, we did not think twice when we were given the opportunity to this marvelous piece. To have found it in near-perfect condition and complete with accessories made the decision to buy it even more logical. This unique chasuble comes with a name tag (see image 8) and these name tags were used in the Netherlands in the 1940s and 1950s. We believe that this unique chasuble set was also made in that era. It is all handcrafted with beautiful silk embroidery. The only imperfections can be seen in image 15 and 16 where some of the copper thread fringes have gone missing. Apart from that, all 5 pieces of this set are of museum quality and condition.
