19th Century Andrew J. Lloyd Boston Brass Telescope on Wooden Tripod with Case

About the Item

A fine antique brass telescope, stamped Andrew J. Lloyd Company, a Boston, MA retailer active 1850-1875. Brass tubes and fittings, includes the original collapsible wooden tripod stand and the original wooden dovetailed travel case. Good working condition, with minor surface rubs, minor dents, and light wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: Telescope: 35 in L x 2.75 in Diameter, closed; extends an additional 19.5 inches; Tripod: 60 in H x 31 in W x 31 in D. Ref: 8
