This is an antique ship's bulkhead barometer. An English, brass and oak maritime weather instrument, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Delightfully presented maritime barometer Displays a desirable aged patina throughout Polished brass bulkhead case presents bright golden tones Set behind glass, the cream coloured dial shows patination commensurate with age Usefully sized for ease of reading with a diameter of 13.5cm (5.25'') Elegant annotations show the current weather condition Secondary hand can be set to show the change since the previous day Reads 'Aneroid Barometer, Made in England' Mounted upon a quality oak back plate with fine grain interest The plate presents rich caramel hues beneath the wax polish finish Dressed with a pair of mounting loops for ease of hanging This is an attractive antique ship's bulkhead barometer, with charming period maritime appeal.
