Decorative Scientific Concave Mercury Mirror Maroon Leather Ebony

About the Item

A unusual scientific mirror, French in origin circa 1880 The mirror is mercury, with age related oxidization and pitting to the plate. Encased in a maroon leather frame with embossed trim. The handle is turned ebony, with a silver stem. One side of the mirror is magnified, with the other being standard Measures: 16cm in length 6cm in diameter.
