Another original Machine Age sculptural design you will rarely find in this condition with original box and instructions
Featured in several Museum collections, books, etc. See "Toledo designs for a modern America," page 100, for examples.
One of the early iconic American Industrial design streamlined re-designs of a common object by Sundberg-Ferar Inc.; J.B. Schmitt, and Frederick Vuillemenot for the DeVilbiss company, 1945-50. Design patented by Joy B Schmitt in 1944.
You would soak cotton balls in various medications, pour hot water inside and steam-vaporize for individual use.
With original attached cord. Untested, likely functional.
Device appears unused original condition, some wear to box from storage as pictured.
