Powell And Lealand Number 3 Monocular Microscope

About the Item

A good example of a Number 3 model microscope retailed by Carpenter and Westley, London in the original fine quality mahogany case. It has a signed Powell and Lealand achromatic condenser and just the accessories as illustrated in the images of the case. The lacquer is the original and in good condition. The brass carrying handle bears an engraved crest of a Unicorn’s head couped. Cased sizes 19 high 9” wide 9 deep.
