19th Century Taxidermy Blowfish Still Life

About the Item

Originally from the Costa Brava in Spain, and brought to America near the turn of the last century, this incredible taxidermy blowfish with shells and Mediterranean sea elements remains in great condition, and will elevate any space. The hand-blown glass with pewter lining case rest atop a carved wood base. This item is compliant with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. Provenance: a private collection in Belvedere, California.
