About the Item
"An incredibly rare piece of American Art Deco history. A "Bacchus" cigarette box designed by Rockwell Kent (American, 1882-1971) for the Chase Company. Only offered in 1935 and 1936. Rockwell Kent designed only 3 items for Chase, all with the same young Bacchus motif, and all are considered rare today." Modernism
Fair condition: Finish loss and light scratches all around, and there is a small dent above the right side goat figures' back, and just behind its the neck.
