About the Item
Antique early 20th Century silver mounted and textured ribbed glass match striker, Of round shape, mounted with a plain silver collar, applied with The Royal Cruising Club flag. The Club was founded in 1880 by Sir Arthur Underhill and a coterie of friends to encourage and facilitate cruising in small yachts. Hallmarked English silver, (925 standard), London, year 1935 (L), Maker John Grinsell & Sons. A must for any collector of Tobaconalia or Naval enthusiast, or just as a stand alone item, as useful today as it was the day it was made.
