Guillotine cigar cutter with coffin cigar tip box, French late 19th-early 20th century. It was in 1789, when the physician Joseph-Ignace Guillotin, recommended the use of this type of Apparatus for executions in France. The most notable beheading was of King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution in 1793. The last time the guillotine was used in France was in 1977 but this smaller version is fully functional as a cigar cutter and is the ultimate gift for any cigar aficionado.
