Rare French African Motif Patinated Bronze Cigar Lighter, circa 1900

About the Item

A rare French African motif patinated bronze cigar lighter, France, circa 1900. Depicting a "Chiefton" or "Tribal Chief" with gold accents. The man with a wick in his cigar, having a cartouche plaque on the front reading "M Pocontaba-Makoko's" on a square base. Very well crafted with rich dark brown patina Measures: Height 6.5". Excellent condition.
