Vintage John Players Navy Cut Cigarette Advertising Shipping Crate or Box
About the Item
Made in the mid-1860s, this wooden and silk screened shipping crate was made for the iconic Player's Navy Cut cigarettes. The crate appears to have been shipped from England, and most likely from the original manufacturing establishment in Nottingham. The box is made completely of a wooden frame with arborite paneled sides which have the silk screened logo and lettering on all four sides and the top of the shipping crate. The box has retained its original brass hinges.
