19th Century, Country French Directoire Period Infant's Bed

About the Item

Late 19th-early 19th century country French Directoire period infant's bed. Ideal for a doll collection or beloved mini-canine or cat. Fruitwood. Nicely molded throughout. The sides with tendril carving and extensive whorl design decoration. The uprights ending in spade feet. A good deal of interior frame rebuilding due to age, use and the typical worm damage (good deal of old worm damage at one interior end).
