Cast iron toys are one of the great American traditions. We specialized in them here in the U.S.A. This is just a fine example of those toys. Key to purchasing old cast iron boil down to 3 questions. Are they antique ?, what is the condition of the paint ? and does it have the original paint ? This mil wagon has all three yes answers. Very good condition, no repaint, and not a reproduction. My first lesson in collecting cast iron toys and banks was passed on to me over 45 years ago by an old time collector. His words were "Son, paint is the name of the game" I have kept those words close to me. Good condition paint is paramount.
