Pink Pig Wicker Basket Butcher Shop Display Container, Antique, German, 1900s
About the Item
A beautiful pink pig wicker basket container. Made of wicker, paper mache and glass eyes. This was a window display to showcase the smoked sausages. It is from the 1900s - 1910s. Note the expressive shape of the head, face and body structure, which makes this piece a real eye-catcher. Found at an estate sale in Leipzig, Germany. A nice addition to any farm house kitchen, or just for your collection.
