An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique George V English sterling silver photograph frames made by Joseph Gloster Ltd; an addition to our silver mounted glass collection. These exceptional antique George V English sterling silver photograph frames have a rounded shaped form with a plain oval window. The surface of each silver frame is embellished with impressive bright cut engraved scrolling floral decoration to the sides, conjoined by a simplistic leaf festoon to the lower portion. The domed upper portion of each frame incorporates a shaped vacant cartouche accented with simplified stemmed floral design emenating from each side. These frames are fitted with the original painted wood backs and hinged struts, each secured with a silver swivel catches. A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver photograph frame, an addition to our diverse ornamental collection. This fine antique sterling silver photograph frame has a rounded, subtly waisted shaped form with an oval internal window. The plain body of this Edwardian frame is encompassed with a paralleling embossed border accented with scrolling leaf and floral motif ornamentation to the upper portion. The rim of the internal window is embellished with a further plain embossed border. This frame retains the original oak wood back and hinged strut, securing with a swivel catch.
