Pair Antique White Nephrite Jade Bookends
About the Item
A pair of extraordinary bookends with large oval he-tian white nephrite jade insets. In the form of ovoid, the 4" x 6" hand carved jade plaque each depicts a phoenix perched on branches amid blooms of peonies. Solid brass bases with interlocking coin motifs symbolizing good fortune and wealth. Elegant frames feature delicate embossed florals, all supported by bases crafted in the form of the Chinese character "longevity". Fine, natural he-tian white jade with beautiful luster, hand carved in precision and great artistry.
