Pair 19th Century Petite Spelter Statues will make perfect Antique Bookends as well! Cast in spelter and given a patinaed bronze finish, then set on polished wooden bases, each depicts a courtier and fair maiden in romantic poses celebrating the grape harvest. Each is dressed in fine raiment ~ the epitome of Belle Epoque magnificence! The classical themes reimagined in Belle Epoque styling were a hallmark of the era, with decorative items such as this pair remaining popular even until today.
