Antique 19th Century Camphorwood Russian Sea Captain's Military Campaign Chest
About the Item
A 19th Century Campaign style sea captain's military trunk, unbranded. Solid camphorwood, brass accents to protect corners & sides, brass side handles, distinctive side joinery, working lock with key (disassembled as required by law), a hinged lid with chain stops, and triangular pad feet. Features a roomy interior suitable for storage. Made in Russia, in the 19th Century.
Measures: 32.5w 18.25d 14.25h
Good antique condition with normal signs of age and previous use. Hinges and lock function properly. Two brass accent pieces missing from bottom right. Lock will be disassembled for delivery as required by law. Lock should be replaced with child-safe locking mechanism. Structurally sound and sturdy.
