Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this stunning, very long antique circa 1840 Coffer trunk which has been converted to be used as a hall bench seat, complete with original lock and key

This is an exceptionally good looking well made and collectable piece, the hand painted detailing is exquisite throughout, this is a wonderfully decorative piece of furniture, the top has been upholstered with an toile fabric which is vintage and has nicely aged
The chest comes with the original large key that works perfectly the period lock which springs closed whenever the lid is down
Condition wise this chest has all the original paint, finish and hardwear, there will be age and use related patina marks as you would expect, all of which add to the honesty, charm and charisma of the wardrobe
