Old Carved & Painted Trunk

About

A great old painted and carved trunk. I am not sure where it was made but the wood does look a little like poplar. I particularly loved the repeated rising suns. Looks like the hinges are replaced. Pieces with old original paint are very hard to find and this one is particularly nice.
