About

A pair of Japanese cloisonné enamel vases of slightly compressed tapering form. They are heavily ornamented on the neck, shoulders and sides with various motifs and contain central panels of a light blue background that each feature: Butterflies, birds, branches and flowers. Dating to the Meiji Period (1868-1912), they measure: 33 x 20cm (oval shape).
