Cast Iron Bamboo Motif Hallway Tree Coat Rack, France 1900s
About the Item
A free standing antique French patinated cast iron coat rack or hallway tree featuring a sculptural faux bamboo motif frame. This rack has eight double hooks for coats or hats, which surround an antiqued inset rectangular mirror. It has a lower section with two compartments for umbrella storage. This piece would look darling in an entryway or bathroom for towels and robes. Embossed ‘Deville Pailliette & Cie of Charleville Ardennes’ makers mark on back. Sourced in France, 1900s.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. A beautiful patina to the iron frame. One break in the iron on the umbrella holder frame does not impact the structural integrity. Antiquing to the inlaid mirror. The back of the base was reinforced + the mirror mounting plate was painted black after.
