Ceramic Bone Coat Rack by Richard Hutten green

About the Item

Fun and functional ceramic spine coat stand designed by Dutch designer, Richard Hutten. This was designed for, and manufactured by Planet in 2001 but is no no longer in production. The stand was a promotional product made exclusively for physicians’ offices. It features ceramic, bone shaped coat hooks with a green, painted metal base. Originally issued with white or grey enameled bases but this version has been custom painted in a handsome sage green. Very few of these were produced, it is a rare piece of Dutch contemporary design that could also be deemed a sculpture! It has some chipping to the ceramic as pictured and some visible wear the metal base consistent with its age and use. Original condition
