Coat rack by Roger Feraud for GEO. Black iron. The piece is in excellent condition and very heavy.
Roger Feraud was a French furniture designer who worked during the mid-20th century. He was known for his innovative designs that blended traditional craftsmanship with modern materials and techniques. Feraud was born in 1921 in Marseille, France. He began his career as a cabinetmaker, but later turned his attention to furniture design. In the 1950s and 1960s, he created a range of pieces that were characterized by their clean lines, simple forms, and use of new materials such as metal, plastic, and fiberglass.
Roger Feraud passed away in 2004, but his designs continue to be sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts. His work is recognized for its combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern materials, as well as its timeless elegance and simplicity.
