The Italian duo, Franco Campo and Carlo Graffi, were course mates at the Politecnico di Torino and were studying under the famous designer, Carlo Mollino. Following their graduation in 1950, they collaborated with Professor Mollino on architecture and design projects. In Campo and Graffi’s earlier works, the influence of Mollino is evident with their use of supine curves and organic materials. In 1956 they started producing furniture under the brand Home. Following the opening of their ground-breaking furniture atelier, their works were often published in trade magazines. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Campo and Graffi’s designs were highly influential in the field of design.
