About the Item
Gorgeous French Riviera style basket magazine rack in bamboo and rattan. This wonderful piece was designed in Italy during 1970s.
This lovely item can be used either o store magazines or vinyls. Fully made in a combination of curved bamboo canes and rattan with perfect proportions. The bamboo handle is kept together by a stunning weave of rattan wicker.
A perfect piece to enhance a modern organic living room or a French Riviera style porch.

Italian company, Vittorio Bonacina was founded by Giovanni Bonacina near Milan in 1889. His idea was to combine exotic rattan imported from Southeast Asia, with two traditional crafts, common in Brianza, an area – basket weaving and furniture. European vine is a beautiful material, but very unstable. Turns rattan wicker furniture in a high-quality alternative to conventional furniture. Diligence and perseverance Giovanni Bonacina brought great rewards, and soon his efforts were rewarded on several international exhibitions.
The son of Giovanni Victor, managing Director of the company since 1951, has written to the traditional production in the direction of innovative design. A collaboration with talented young designers have made the company Vittorio Bonacina legislator furniture fashion. Famous designers of the second half of the 20th century: Francesco Bettoni, Franco Albini, Giovanni Travisa, Sergio Asti, Carlo Colombo made in creating furniture with rattan creative thought, making the wicker chair, a genuine artifact of culture. A striking example of this can serve as a chair "Margherita" (1950), designed by the great Franco Albini. This chair won the gold medal at the exhibition in 1951, at the present time it is in the permanent collection of the Museum of modern art in new York (MOMA).
