About the Item
Milled by hand in JG Switzer's design workshop, and made of Shetland sheep wool listed on the Livestock Conservancy list as an "at risk" breed. Merino and local wool from within our own Fibershed (defined as a 100 mile radius of the workshop) also are used to make this pillow.
Rich, natural undyed brown, grey and cream sheep fleece is "painted" on a canvas of wool. No two alike, as each item is hand-painted. These designer pillows are made front and back with a complimentary felted wool.
Insert is angel fiber fill. Reversible with different back design means you can have twice the pillow. No two alike, and designs will vary on front face. Each piece "painted" by hand so the design will vary wildly with each pillow. Trust us, we won't send you anything we wouldn't put with pride in our own home. Your purchase supports small flocks and their farmers.
Dimensions: Body Pillow is 16" x 48"and this size is the favorite couch pillow or Q or K bed "one-and-done" pillow. Zipper enclosure may be removed for cleaning. Spot or dry clean only please.

JG SWITZER designs “Fine fibers for the well-dressed home.” Most of our pieces are designed & made at workshop in Northern California, USA where we also make our own fabric with an industrial needle loom for home goods and private commissions. We set out in 2018 to "blanket the world with beauty," and we strive daily to offer the very finest tailored blankets, furs and pillows found nowhere else in the world. Three all natural fiber collections to choose from. Custom, sew-on demand inquiries from the trade are welcome. HERITAGE SHEEP COLLECTION is wool milled in California, USA from small flock sheep on the Livestock Conservancy’s “at risk” list. Wool is nature’s finest, 100% natural renewable and sustainable fiber. LEGENDS COLLECTION, milled at one of the oldest, continuously operating mills in England (1780s), the mill carries a Royal Warrant for supplying interior fabrics to Windsor Castle and has provided their woollen cloth for costumes to productions such as Harry Potter and Titanic. The mill bespoke dye pieces of the Legends collection to make them exclusive to us. Our signature finish is always a 4" silk charmeuse border. UNFORBIDDEN FUR COLLECTION. Finally, fur you can feel good about. “Upcycled” Toscana real fur fabric is tanned formaldehyde-free, from carefully sourced, left-over Italian glove factory cuttings, re-purposed and sewn into luxurious blankets and throws.
Variations are available as are pillow backings and inserts. Stock pillow sizes include 20" and 24" square and 12x22 lumbars.
