Description: Large custom made luxury cushion created from an exquisite vintage, pure silk Cartier fashion scarf in a striking safari picture on a dramatic blue palette. Featuring pretty butterflies, leopard print boarders, a majestic herd of giraffes covered in pave set diamonds wandering into the foreground from a vast tropical scene with luscious vegetation, a troop of magnificent elephants curling in from the corner and Cartier’s signature iconic big cat the panther, bejewelled and perched on a sphere in each corner. As an extra detail of its luxury finish, the silk is covered in a subtle foulard weave repeating across the surface illustrating Cartier’s signature motif in raised texture of a panther perched on a sphere, this is especially notable when caught by the light. Considered one of the most luxurious brands in the world, the Parisian Empire originated in 1847 with Louis-François Cartier. The fabric was personally hand-picked by Katie at antiques market ‘Marche aux Puces Saint-Ouen’ on the outskirts of Paris. On a sumptuous silk soft to the touch.
