This pillow has been hand embroidered by artisans in Kashmir, India, using a traditional embroidery technique which is native to this region. The purchase of this handcrafted pillow helps to support the artisans and preserve their Craft. We have used the finest wool and rayon yarns for the embroidery, which features a geometric pattern in ivory, pink, and silver. There is a cotton backing with an envelope closure on the reverse. Care: For small stains, spot clean with warm water and mild detergent. For larger stains, we would recommend dry clean / Warm iron Insert not included.

Designer and founder Leah Singh works directly with artisans in villages across India using embroidery, weaving, and printing techniques that are native to the region. Her philosophy is to rejuvenate these age-old, traditional crafts by transforming them into modern objects. Leah grew up in India surrounded by it's rich cultural heritage, and spent her summers in New York surrounded by the structured, minimal lines of Western architecture. Her eclectic upbringing is reflected in each piece she designs. She now travels between her two homes in New York and Delhi, collecting inspiration for new collections.
