Brushed for extra softness and designed to have a meaningful impact on everyday home life, our throws are the ultimate balance between design and comfort, ideal for moments of total relaxation and well-being.
How I’m Made
Made in Britain, our checkerboard throw is crafted from recycled cotton.
The yarn has been carefully collected from garment-making factories, broken down into fibre and re-spun into yarn. It’s then woven, brushed and sewn using traditional techniques in British mills creating a circular economy within our production process.
Made for everyday, designed to last.

One Nine Eight Five is a sustainable British design studio based in London recently awarded “Best Sustainable Homeware & Soft Furnishing Brand 2023” by SME News. The studio focuses on textiles, homeware and artwork created and / or sourced by its founder Eleanor Nadimi.
With sustainability at its core, One Nine Eight Five is a celebration of colour, comfort and the joy of home. Our textiles are designed in our studio and manufactured by British craftsman in the UK, produced with a no-waste ethos.
The collection is inspired by architectural and textural references, with the intention to make your home stand out, everyday.
