19th Century Multi-Colored Kurdish Runner Rug

About the Item

Wonderful example of sophisticated weaving on a tribal rug. Tribal geometrics evolved into organic flower forms float on an abrashed indigo blue field. A simplified but symmetrically cohesive herati design is carried around all three borders. Great use of tribal color ideas.
