About the Item
"In-Canto Ricco" is a modern expression of a luxury contemporary rug with a light yet seductive weave that capture the light, a product of G.T.DESIGN’s extensive research in textile fibers.
The shimmering properties of bamboo viscose are highlighted through a modern manual weaving technique developed through years of experimentation with this yarn. Only 8 mm thick, the precious and magnetic rug shimmers in the light and provides an unparalleled tactile and visual experience while seamlessly blending in its surroundings. Made in viscose fiber sourced from plant cellulose that doesn’t cause deforestation, In-Canto is a vegan and sustainable rug that uses non-toxic and azo-free dyes.
"In-Canto Ricco" in the color grey is characterized by elegant inlay designs inspired by floral patterns that make it perfect for both classic or modern ambients.
"In-Canto Ricco" is designed by Deanna Comellini, Creative Director of Italian company G.T.DESIGN, a pioneer in the contemporary rug design industry.

About the designer:
Deanna Comellini is an artist and a designer.
For over 40 years, she has experimented by combining craftsmanship and industrial design while working first on product design and later on textiles. She has developed the notion of ‘imperfect design’, highlighting the minor flaws of materials and handmade products that make them unique and one-of-a-kind. In the 1990s, she focused on the concept of the contemporary rug and natural materials while innovating the industry with a new textile for interior design. In 1977, she founded G.T.DESIGN taking on the role of Creative Director. She participated in prestigious international exhibitions and collaborated with important architectural figures, including Toyo Ito and the Zaha Hadid Architects studio.
Deanna Comellini was named one of the 100 Most Influential Women by Forbes Italy in 2022.

She also uses modern technical yarns such as viscose to give an incomparable sheen and color depth to the Kama rug, among the company’s bestselling products and a trend setter in the industry. In addition, she works alongside international architects and interior designers on custom made rugs for residential and commercial projects.
