Brilliant Vintage Flat-weave Sumac Serapi-Heriz Design Marbling Midnight Blues with Seafoam & Pink
About: Amazing piece with gorgeous colors and iconic design in a very uncommon format - a flat weave textile! This construction offers a more flat-matte look because there is no pile for the light to catch to make the hues richer or lighter - it is a very consistent look from all directions! but make sure to note the ""feather-like"" sickle leaf motifs that command the eyes at the top and bottom of the field in SEAFOAM! Incredible.

Age: Vintage, C. 1950-60's
Pile: Low / no pile. This piece is a flat weave similar to a Sumac or a Kilim. It IS reversible, so for a true Sumac braided weave you can use one side, and for a smaller more needle-point look flip the rug over - Very unique!
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one in the world, no others are available.
Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
This rug is also available with a custom cut pad (sold separately).
