About the Item

Moooi large fluid water rectangle rug in low pile polyamide by Rive Roshan. Rive Roshan is an experimental design studio with a holistic vision and approach towards design. They bridge the gap between graphic, interior and product design disciplines and blur the lines between design and art. Rive Roshan is run by Dutch designer Ruben de la Rive Box and Iranian-Australian designer Golnar Roshan. The studio explores innovative use of materials to design tactile, flexible and engaging products for a progressive generation. Rive Roshan has captured the experience of their daily moments of the mesmerising reflections of light and colour in the water of the IJ River which surrounds their studio on the Silodam in Amsterdam. The designers wanted to capture the calming effects of the water into a surface which can be shared with people no matter where they are based. The mind and body are fluid therefore the effects of looking at a moving body of water creates tranquility in our lives.
